Event Registration Policy

 

REGISTRATION, PAYMENTS, AND DEADLINES

Pre-registration is strongly recommended for all events. Many of our events are so popular they sell out, and it helps our event planners tremendously if we know how many people are coming to an event. We cannot guarantee entrance to any event unless you register in advance.

Advance Registration: SLA Toronto accepts only online registration for events via our website.  Your registration will be incomplete until you submit payment via PayPal, which is the only accepted method of payment.

Late Registration: If you need to register for an event after the registration deadline, you can email the registrar (see the relevant online event post) to see if space is available.

On-Site Registration: We can only accept on-site registration when there is available space. PayPal will still be the only accepted method of payment.

 

CANCELLATION POLICY

To cancel your registration and receive a full refund, please send an email to the registrar (see the relevant online event post) 48 hours prior to the event date.  Cancellation requests made after the 48 hour cut-off will not be eligible for a refund.

In lieu of cancelling your registration, you may send someone else in your place by emailing the registrar at least 24 hours prior to the event. We will invoice you any difference in fees.

Note: Please make every effort to submit written notice of cancellation to any paid or free event. Our event planners put a tremendous amount of effort into bringing you the best professional development and networking events, and no-shows significantly undermine our planning process.

 

NO-SHOWS

If you fail to show up for an event without contacting the registrar according to our Cancellation Policy, you will not receive a refund. If we haven’t received payment prior to the event, you will be invoiced.

If you repeatedly fail to respect our Cancellation Policy, we will be unable to welcome you to future events.

 

EVENT CANCELLATION & POSTPONEMENT

If we have to cancel or postpone an event for any reason, we will notify you as far in advance as we can.  Canceled events will be publicized on the website as quickly as possible.

In the case of postponed events, we will notify you of the new date as soon as possible. If the rescheduled date no longer works for you, we will issue you a refund.
